However, other sources of occupation include manufacturing, trading, services such as restaurant services, social services, financial services, travel agencies, communication, and construction. These industries are plants owned by foreign private companies such as Ford, Nissan, and Volkswagen amongst others. These automobiles and machinery are exported to other countries and these develop revenue for the growth of the economy. But for the daily running of the automotive plants, there is the need for manpower apart from the mechanical equipment used in the industries. This creates a room for the employment of the South Africans.

There is also communication advancement in the nation which has it accommodating five cellular service providers, namely MTN, 8ta, Virgin Mobile, Vodacom and Cell C. These communication companies provide services to over twenty million people and employment to thousands of people.
